چکیده

Late pregnancy is accompanied by dramatic changes in the metabolism of sheep, which nutrient requirements increase and metabolic capacity ewes under severe stress due to rapid foetal growth development mammary gland. The blood profile can be used monitor these alterations, lead disorders such as toxaemia. However, data available on serum parameters sheep do not consider physiological state. Therefore, present study aimed determine biochemical reference ranges for pregnant ewes, including energy, protein enzyme-related metabolites. Data from a variety metabolites were obtained experiments performed several institutions commercial farms using Santa Inês, Dorper, Lacaune, Morada Nova, Bergamacia Suffolk reared different conditions (grazing, feedlot, semi-feedlot, collective and/or individual pens, cages) 2006 2017. Trimester-Specific Reference Ranges for Free Thyroxine Hormone in Iranian Pregnant Women

Introduction: Physiological changes during pregnancy affect thyroid function and also free thyroxine (FT4) assay methods. These impacts make immunoassays unreliable for detecting hypothyroxinemia during pregnancy. Due to pregnant women’s adequate consumption of iodine in Iran, reference ranges of FT4 needs to be obtained for this group. Materials and Methods: A total of 1077 Iranian pregnant wo...

Serum hepcidin: reference ranges and biochemical correlates in the general population.

To date, concentrations of the promising biomarker hepcidin have only been assessed in serum of relatively small series of healthy volunteers and patients. We assessed age- and sex-stratified reference ranges of serum hepcidin concentration in a selected reference set and performed regression analyses to study associations between hepcidin and (biochemical) variables in a large, well-phenotyped...

Reference Ranges for Serum Uric Acid among Healthy Assamese People

This study was designed to establish reference ranges for serum uric acid among healthy adult Assamese population. Samples from 1470 aged 35-86 years were used to establish age and sex related reference range by the centile method (central 95 percentile) for serum uric acid level. There were 51% (n = 754) males and 49% (n = 716) females; 75.9% (n = 1115) of them were from urban area and the res...
